The Slightest Effort: This was actually Jake’s lullaby for over 2 years. We’re on another one these days, maybe I’ll do a version of that. This is a typical Jake pick – not really appropriate subject matter for a lullaby…but then again, cradles plunging from broken tree branches ain’t so great either. Listen here.

The Worst Thing I Ever Did – this is the most fleshed out of the tracks I’ve been working on. It’s got a little tinkling out of tune piano, insults, an ambulance and some serious regrets – this is what you would get if I were Billy Joel. Listen here.

Stumbling Toward Bethlehem – Acoustic guitar and voice. Sorry it’s so quiet, it is the unfortunate nature of these quickie tracks. This is just really fun for me to play and sing…especially the ass-kickin’ Mary stuff. That’s some theology I can embrace. Listen here.

Melonball – This is an old classic that my kids love. I will probably never “officially” record this – it would probably lose something. But it is fun albeit quiet. Now it is a big bath time hit with Jake and Noah, but I used to get massive singalongs going in coffee houses and stairways back in the day, so if any of those folks remember… Listen here.

Blue Ribbons in Her Hair – This is a story, we’ll pretend it is real. It’s got kind of a classic country vibe, I think. At least a little I think. The guitar work is rough becaue I was really tired of mega power acoustic strumming…but I’m very interested in feedback. Listen here.
